Do you sail on yachts and want to try a catamaran? We will teach you how to handle it so that your holiday is a pleasure, not stress.

Is this course for you?
Ideal if
- ·You have a skipper's license and experience on a monohull yacht
- ·You want to charter a catamaran sometime (family, larger group)
- ·The charter company requires catamaran experience
- ·You want to safely get a feel for two engines and different manoeuvres
Probably elsewhere if
- ·You don't have a license yet, start with a skipper course
- ·You sail exclusively on yachts, a classic refresher cruise will be better
What you will learn on a catamaran
Dva motory v praxi
How to use engines simultaneously and independently, the single skill that makes a catamaran handle like a cat in a marina.
Harbour maneuvers
Side-to mooring, mooring lines, finger piers; a catamaran behaves completely differently in a harbour than a monohull.
Sailing a catamaran
Different dynamics, different sail tension, different limits. You will learn to feel when to reef earlier.
Mooring to buoys
Specifics of a multihull boat, different angle, different technique, different risks.
Crew management
A catamaran offers space for more people; how to divide them and who does what during maneuvers.
What is included
- Weekly catamaran charter (4 cabins)

- Tourist tax €10 per person, payable locally in cash
- Transport to/from Šibenik
- Food and drinks (kitty)
- Marina fees outside Mandalina
Available dates for refresher cruises
Each course lasts a week from Saturday to Saturday, meeting point is at Marina Mandalina in Šibenik. Dates are filled continuously.
