1. Logbook

Every proper captain or skipper must have a logbook. It is an important element for sailing, where information about voyages is recorded. Retrospectively, the captain then has an overview of the position, weather, nautical miles sailed, in short, everything about the entire voyage.

2. High-quality gloves

Working with ropes is demanding, palms are stressed and injury can easily occur. If you take the rope from the water during mooring, there may be sharp debris on it and you can injure your bare hand. Gloves are therefore an ideal accessory for hand protection, even during routine repairs.

3. Headlamp

An absolutely essential accessory for night sailing. Ideally with a choice of lighting intensity. The possibility of red light is also excellent, as sharp white light is too dazzling.

4. Waterproof bag (backpack)

Definitely a great helper. When sailing to shore on a dinghy, the fear of getting money or a phone wet disappears. With a high-quality waterproof bag, you can even, for example, swim in the sea and your things will stay dry.

5. Drone

Videos and photos from a sailboat are enchanting. But everyone is even more captivated by shots from a drone with a camera. Video of a sailing yacht from above is priceless. A drone that doesn't mind water and is waterproof is ideal.

6. Powerbank

It is advisable to save electricity on a boat. Therefore, a powerbank is an excellent accessory. With its help, you can charge your mobile, GoPro, tablet, or other devices.

7. Knife

A sailing knife, or every man (sailor) should have a knife. The best option is a multifunctional one, which also hides, for example, a small screwdriver. It can come in handy in bad weather when it's necessary to quickly sail away and cut ropes, but also for routine repairs.

8. Book

Even if it's a "classic" gift, a true sailor likes to expand their horizons and educate themselves. You practically can't choose wrong. Just make sure the one you selected is missing from the captain's collection.
